What is a vision system?

The objective of the vision systems is to digitally make useful decisions about the physical objects from the world through acquired images.

It is to remove the data or characteristic more excellent than they are contained in an image to trigger a control action. It is to simulate with a machine, the human process of the decision making through the view.

A vision system is divided in:

  • Camera, captures and transmits the images
  • Illumination, allows that the interest object always sees equal
  • Image processing, algorithm that removes the characteristics from interest in the image to give a verdict
